Who's up for a visit?

Ever since we moved into this house, the guest room has affectionately been known as the "wedding room" as it held the mountains of wedding paraphernalia needed for our big day.  But right before we left for our honeymoon Andy and I finally rolled up our sleeves and cleared out the room, making space for a new double bed and some much needed TLC.

I finished putting the final touches on it last night and so here are the new photos, I'm just sad that I didn't think to take any before shots.

Since it was the "wedding room" I thought why not save some money and repurpose some of our wedding stuff for the guest room:

The little bench at the end of the bed is actually what we sat on during our Persian wedding ceremony
The candelabras are also from our Persian wedding Ceremony. They were flanking our Sofreh Aghd and now they flank the bed. Looks romantic no?

The vases on the bedside tables are from the centrepieces in our wedding. The little mercury glass candle holders were originally placed on our wedding cake table.

The large side table is actually the folded up sewing machine we used as our wedding guest-book table.

The tray holding this vignette was used under our Korovai at the wedding

I'm thinking that the bed needs a small cushion to tie the whole room together. Something like this small yellow cushion from Surya.com for a pop of colour or a pink peony cushion like this one from Cushions to Curtains to go with the little flower accents I've set up on the side tables.

Since I like DIY so much, I am going to make one as soon as I find the right fabric for it. Which one do you think I should lean towards? Yellow or floral?
