Did I ever tell you that I used to be part of the kid's entertainment staff on a cruise ship in my younger days? I guess it's only fitting that my maid of hon and another good friend from the cruise ship days threw me a nautical themed bachelorette party. Since this month we're taking a look back at all of my wedding details, I thought I'd throw the bachelorette in there too.
The evening started early, with an amazing get together at my friend Michelle's place. The hosts had prepared munchies and drinks with adorable nautical touches like this humus and pepper octopus. There was also a jewelery making station with nautical charms like anchors and ships, I think I probably made 12 bracelets that day...
Shortly after, I was presented with a captain's hat and sash before we all made our way to the pier to hop on board a party ship for a cruise around lake Ontario. All the girls were told to wear nautical themed outfits, and you should have seen the trouble we caused. On several occasions we even had other people come up to me and tell me what an awesome idea my whole bachelorette party theme was.
The music on boat was amazing. The people were a lot of fun and my girls were just awesome. It was so great to just let loose and have a good time a few weeks before the wedding. I am so lucky to have such awesome peeps in my life, they all even stuck around that night to go out clubbing. We even ran into Mario Lopez (that's right, Mr. A.C. Slater himself) at the club that night, but at that point I had had one too many shots to remember to take a photo.
